What’s In The Box? November 1-7

Bavarian Classics
In keeping with the warm, soulful flavors of Oktoberfest, this week’s lineup stars such Bavarian favorites as smoky German-style sausages, Brotchen rolls, wholegrain mustard and our housemade tangy sauerkraut. Complemented by an array of fresh fall produce like Delicata squash, red beets, and a medley of buttery fingerling potatoes to incorporate into comforting side dishes, this box also includes our signature applesauce, heirloom blueberry juice and a locally-made salted caramel chocolate bar to finish your supper on a sweet note.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Bavarian Meats

This week, enjoy a selection of classic-style sausages from Seattle’s famous Bavarian Meats, including flavorful bratwurst, bockwurst and knackwurst. A wonderful centerpiece for your feast of German favorites—just serve them alongside a German-style potato salad, plus sides of mustard and tangy sauerkraut.

Mustard

Wonderful with this week’s sausages, this signature mustard is bold and slightly spicy, made from ground mustard seeds, parsley, and champagne vinegar.

Sauerkraut

Made from finely-shredded cabbage fermented with sea salt, this traditional German condiment packs a wonderful, tangy kick.

Fresh Cinnamon-Raisin Bread
& German Brotchen Rolls

One crafted with a natural starter, cinnamon and moist, chewy Flame raisins, the other brushed with an egg-wash for a perfectly golden finish, both of these wonderful breads are baked by our favorite bakery in nearby Snohomish.

German Beer

A selection of traditional German-style “biers”.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green.

Bow Hill Organic Heirloom Blueberry Juice

Made from a cold-pressed blend of Rubel and Jersey blueberries harvested from 71-year old bushes, this truly unique drink hails from the esteemed Bow Hill blueberry farm in Bow, Washington.

Applesauce

Dappled with sweet orchard apples, our signature applesauce is perfectly spiced with a light touch of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.

Seasonal Organic Vegetables

This week’s produce selection includes red beets, parsnips, yellow onions, French Breakfast radishes, Piricicaba sprouting broccoli, Hakurei turnips, Delicata squash and a medley of fingerling potatoes.

Seasonal Fruit

Beautiful Ambrosia apples from Tonnemaker Orchard.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Peppery arugula greens and escarole.

Fresh Garden Herbs
