The time is ripe—for summer berries! This week, we celebrate the arrival of the first Bella Luna raspberries alongside other summer staples such as crisp, cool English cucumbers, fennel and radicchio, plus baby lettuces and fragrant herbs. Also featuring preserved Meyer lemons, our signature chicken stock and arborio rice to craft your own light and bright risotto, as well as multigrain bread and crème fraîche, this box is full of the flavors of summer. Enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Arborio Rice

When cooked with chicken stock and a splash of wine, this traditional round-grain rice becomes creamy and starchy and is a great accompaniment to just about any flavor combination—including this week’s preserved Meyer lemons.

Preserved Meyer Lemons

Crafted and jarred in our farmhouse kitchen with fresh lemon juice and sea salt, these beautiful preserved Meyer lemons are fantastic incorporated into a summery risotto.

Housemade Chicken Stock

Made from roasted Bella Luna chickens, our housemade stock is simmered with carrots, onions, parsley and celery and seasoned with just a dash of sea salt.

Lummi Island Wild Keta Salmon

Tender and perfectly flaky, this top-quality, reef-net-caught Keta salmon is perfect for any summer meal!

Multigrain Bread

From our favorite bakery in Snohomish, this freshly-baked loaf is made with locally-milled Shepherd’s Grain flour, honey and seven different whole grains, all topped with toasted sunflower seeds.

This lovely Rosé from Provence features notes of strawberry, pomegranate and, fittingly for this week’s box, also raspberry!

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. As we hit midsummer, the “girls” are enjoying the long summer afternoons and accompanying lingering evenings, chasing bugs and eating tasty green weeds we pull from the garden.

Crème Fraîche

Crafted in our farmstead creamery from pasteurized organic sweet cream, our rich and silky crème fraîche adds a beautiful finishing touch to summer berries.

Fresh Raspberries

The first crop of raspberries has arrived straight from our patch! Enjoy these red, ripe beauties right from the container, scattered atop a summer salad, or even incorporated into a vinaigrette for that same salad.

Blueberry Sauce

Crafted from juicy Northwest blueberries hand-picked each morning during peak season, our housemade blueberry sauce is just as lovely drizzled over morning pancakes as it is on cheesecake in the evening for dessert!
