FEBRUARY 27-MARCH 5

Citrus Season
Colorful, zesty, juicy and fresh—this week’s box celebrates the best of winter citrus season! Inside you’ll find multiple varieties of citrus to explore; tangelos, oranges, Meyer lemons, and Mandarinquats, as well as flavorful accoutrements like cranberry-orange scones, blood orange marmalade, hearty Struan bread, and fresh Bellsong Creamery ricotta to go along with. In addition to a bounty that also includes eggs, garden-grown greens and fragrant herbs, we’ve provided you some fresh kitchen inspiration via the enclosed recipes, many of which were provided by our friend, Chef Lauren Feldman. Enjoy this bright box!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Winter Citrus

This week’s delivery includes a bevy of beautiful winter citrus—Mandarinquats, Marmalade/Seville oranges, Meyer lemons, Blood oranges, and Minneola tangelos—as well as a variety of recipes provided by local chef Lauren Feldman to help you capture all their glorious, juicy flavor; see the enclosed cards for ideas!

New Day Baking Struan Bread

This soft, hearty, enriched harvest loaf is hand-crafted with various grains to give it incredible texture; pro tip: it is an especially delicious toasting bread!

Cranberry-Orange Scones

These buttery scones blend sweet-tart cranberries and bright citrus flavors to provide a great start to your day.

The Vincent Columbia Valley Rosé 2023

Crafted from a combination of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah grapes, this crisp, dry wine from Mark Ryan Winery features a supple finish, with refreshing acidity and a lithe texture.

Bellsong Creamery Whole Milk Ricotta

Rich, creamy, and mildly sweet, this lovely fresh ricotta is crafted in-house at our farmstead creamery, Bellsong.

Farm Fresh Eggs

As they balance their time between roaming outdoors during rain breaks and then snuggling up in their coop on chilly evenings, our heritage breed laying hens are enjoying an extra helping of grain to supplement their diet, and continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream.

Housemade Blood Orange Marmalade

Tangy and sweet-tart, this signature housemade blood orange marmalade is excellent spread on your morning toast!

Organic Citrus Balsamic Vinegar

Made in Italy from lemon juice and grape must, this imported balsamic vinegar is aged in oak barrels to further lend it a beautiful flavor.

Organic Greens

Buckwheat microgreens, salad mix and both red Chioggia and Treviso radicchio.

Seasonal Organic Fruit & Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes: black Spanish radish, La Ratte fingerling potatoes, leeks and baby red beets.

Garden-Grown Herbs

Parsley, thyme and sweet bay from the walled garden.
