This box celebrates summer with a plethora of locally-grown produce, all accented by sunflower seed-kissed multigrain bread, farm-fresh eggs and fresh chevre and silky crème fraîche from our own farmstead creamery, Bellsong. Unpack the box, crack open some wine, thumb through the recipes and enjoy these summer gems to the fullest.

Mixed Green & Yellow Zucchini with Flowers

Along with summer squash season come the dainty, edible orange flowers perfect for frying! See this week’s recipes for instructions on how to craft a classic summer starter with these bright blossoms.

Sliced Multigrain Bread

Crafted in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this healthy freshly-baked loaf is made with locally-milled Shepherd’s Grain flour and seven different whole grains, plus a hint of honey and toasted sunflower seeds.

Bellsong Creamery Chevre & Housemade Crème Fraîche

Creamy, smooth and decadent, this week’s chevre cheese is a true farmhouse favorite. Crafted from whole goat’s milk, it adds rich, robust mouthfeel to a summer salad. Also included: Our rich and silky crème fraîche is also crafted by our in-house farmstead creamery, Bellsong, from pasteurized organic sweet cream.

Ravoire et Fils 2023 Domaine des Bellugues Rosé Mediterranée

Made by a small family estate named for the fireflies that live around the vineyard (bellegues means “spark”), this French Rosé bursts with fresh fruit flavors and a crisp, bright acidity.

Farm Fresh Eggs

As they spend lots of time outdoors in the sunny weather, our heritage breed laying hens continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Enjoy another bountiful harvest of tender greens this week: Fancy salad mix, Belgian endive, cantaloupe shoots, green shiso, green onions and sunflower shoots.
