Warm yourself body and soul this week with a lineup centered around one of our all-time fall favorites: cozy risotto crafted from Arborio rice, a trio of locally-foraged mushrooms and our signature chicken stock, and finished with a dollop of our rich and creamy housemade ricotta cheese. Also including Gruyère cheese bread and a blended French red wine, this box is flush with seasonal produce like Lacinato kale, turnips, Parisian Market carrots, mixed heirloom tomatoes and a wealth of crisp salad greens. Cuddle up in your favorite armchair and enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Arborio Rice

This round-grain rice comes from the Po River Valley region of Italy and is named for the town of Arborio located in the heart of the area. When cooked with our flavorful chicken stock and a splash of white wine, it becomes creamy and starchy and is a great accompaniment to just about any flavor combination, like this week’s locally-foraged mushrooms.

Locally-Foraged Wild Mushrooms

A beautiful selection of locally-foraged golden Chanterelle, Hedgehog and Cauliflower mushrooms from our friends at Found and Foraged Edibles to incorporate into this week’s risotto.

Gruyère Cheese Bread

Made in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this freshly-baked loaf balances sweet, nutty Gruyère with a light, crisp crust. Absolutely wonderful re-warmed in the oven—just sprinkle with a few drops of water and bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.

J. Mourat Collection Vin de France 2022

Comprising vineyards spanning 120 hectares, Vignobles Mourat represents one of the largest viticultural plots dedicated to organic agriculture in the Loire Valley. This eclectic red wine blend composed of Cabernet Franc, Négrette, Gamay, and Pinot Noir grapes is generous and mouth watering, with aromas of cherry, black currant and a touch of graphite.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of cream, brown and green. With short days of fall, the girls are up with the sun to roam the outdoors. Bedtime is coming much earlier now, as we see them heading into their house to roost as the sun is going down.

Bellsong Creamery Fresh Ricotta

Rich, creamy, and mildly sweet, this lovely fresh ricotta is crafted in-house at our farmstead creamery, Bellsong. We recommend adding a dollop to this week’s risotto for a decadent finishing touch; enjoy!

Farm & Larder Chicken Stock

Made from roasted Bella Luna chickens, this flavorful stock has been simmered slowly with fresh herbs, aromatic vegetables, and seasoned with a dash of sea salt and black pepper.

Seasonal Fruit

Beautiful Bosc pears, plus Bella Luna-grown Meyer lemons.

Fresh Organic Greens

Bibb lettuce, Crunchy salad mix, green Italian Bietola Swiss chard and Lacinato kale.

Seasonal Organic Fruit & Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes onions, Parisian Market carrots, mixed heirloom tomatoes, Hakurei turnips and Russian Banana fingerling potatoes.

Fresh Garden Herbs
