How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

Rise & Shine

This week’s box is all about slow mornings and warm, cozy breakfasts. Think smoky Jack Mountain bacon rashers that crisp up beautifully, fragrant cinnamon raisin bread ready for French toast, and a fresh cup of small-batch roasted Island Time coffee to sip alongside. You’ll also find our own farm eggs, buttery Skagit-grown hazelnuts, a mix of chicories and endive, and a beautiful spread of seasonal produce—from French fingerlings and Black Futsu squash to orchard apples and Cara Caras. Finished with a fragrant bundle of Bella Luna garden herbs, it’s everything you need for a comforting brunch at home.

Here is what you will find in your box this week:

Jack Mountain Smoked English-Style Bacon Rashers
Also known as back bacon, the rashers from this Skagit Valley-based meat company are hand cut from the loin with a portion of the belly still attached. Each belly cut is dry-cured the “old school” way, by hand, aged for a minimum of eight days, and are smoked all day over hazelnut shells. The resulting rashers crisp up very well, yet still have a big meaty chew.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Baked just for us by our favorite local bakery, this fragrant, fresh-baked cinnamon raisin loaf makes for a delicious base to French toast.

Island Time Coffee Island Sunset French Roast Coffee
Crafted specifically for the Northwest aesthetic, Island Time Coffee Company sources only the finest, farm-direct, sustainable coffee beans from Latin America and Indonesia. All of the beautiful beans from this Whidbey Island-based purveyor are small-batch roasted, ensuring the best possible freshness; this particular dark-roasted blend is smooth, dark and tangy, with an assertive smoky aroma.

Dragon’s Head Kingston Black Cider
This limited release, single-varietal cider is made from 100% estate grown Kingston Black apples grown on Vashon Island. Dry, tannic, and lightly effervescent, it also features notes of dried apple, butterscotch, and clove, with a lingering astringent finish.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the shorter days, the hens rise with the sun to roam outdoors—and tuck into their coop early each evening to roost.

Allview Early Robin Cherry Snacks
These all-natural, dehumidified Early Robin cherries deliver sweet-tart flavor in every bite—perfect for snacking, sprinkling over salads, or adding a bright note to a cheeseboard.
Nookachamps Farms Organic Hazelnuts
A heart-healthy snack that provides a natural source of Omega 6, these high-quality hazelnuts are grown by a family-run farm located in the Skagit Valley.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s selection of greens includes kale, red and green Belgian endive and a beautiful selection of mixed chicories and radicchio.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection contains French fingerling potatoes, Black Futsu squash, purple sprouting broccoli, sunchokes, and red beets, plus Cara Cara oranges and Bella Luna orchard apples.

Garden-Grown Herbs
A fragrant mixed bundle of herbs from the hoophouse and walled garden here at Bella Luna.
