How it Works
First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.
What's in the box this week?
An Italian Summer Table
This week’s Farm & Larder box is inspired by the simple pleasures of an Italian summer, where the season’s best ingredients need little more than good olive oil, a hot grill, and family gathered around the table. Fragrant focaccia, sun-ripened tomatoes, crisp fennel, vibrant radicchio, sweet corn, and garden herbs invite effortless meals that celebrate the abundance of August. Finish with slices of juicy watermelon and fragrant Charentais melon, and you’ll have everything you need to savor the season, one delicious bite at a time.
Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:
Summer Melons
Peak summer sweetness arrives with two exceptional melons this week. Instead of a traditional watermelon, you’ll enjoy Jo Saeng No Ran Ggul, a rare Korean heirloom with a cheerful yellow rind, crisp pink flesh, and remarkably sweet flavor. Alongside it is fragrant Charentais melon, a beloved French heirloom prized for its intensely aromatic flesh and honeyed sweetness. Enjoy them well chilled, simply sliced, paired with prosciutto or fresh cheese, or tossed into vibrant summer salads.
Focaccia Bread
Baked by our favorite bakery located in nearby Snohomish, this soft, chewy Italian-style loaf is kissed with fragrant fresh herbs. It’s delicious served warm and dipped in olive oil.
Ravoire et Fils Domaine des Bellugues Rosé Mediterranée 2025
Made by a small family estate named for the fireflies that live around the vineyard (bellegues means “spark”), this French rosé bursts with fresh fruit flavors and a crisp, bright acidity.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware hens provide us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the long days of summer, they are enjoying lots of time outside in their run, pecking, scratching, and soaking up the sunshine.
Seasonal Organic Greens
Frisée, di Lusia radicchio, baby lettuces, and spicy salad mix.
Fresh Organic Vegetables
This week’s box provides a summer’s bounty of fresh seasonal produce: Tomatoes, zucchini, slicing cucumbers, fennel, romanesco cauliflower, Sungold tomatoes, corn, radishes, turnips and baby red beets.
Garden-Grown Herbs
Fresh flat-leaf Italian parsley and fragrant garlic from the walled garden and middle field here at Bella Luna.
