How it Works
First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.
This week’s box celebrates early winter, bringing together forest, field, home, and hearth. Wild-foraged Black Trumpet and golden Chanterelle mushrooms anchor the share with their earthy, buttery depth—true Northwest treasures—while New Day Bakery’s herb-kissed focaccia invites easy, comforting meals best enjoyed warm with olive oil. Farm-fresh eggs from our heritage-breed flock arrive in beautiful shades of brown and green, alongside a vibrant mix of seasonal greens including Castelfranco and Rosa del Veneto radicchio, claytonia, and sunflower shoots. Rounding out the box are Austrian Crescent fingerling potatoes, sweet onions, orchard apples, Fuyu persimmons, and Black Futsu squash—everything you need for nourishing winter cooking.
Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:
Local Black Trumpet & Chantrelle Mushrooms
This week’s delivery includes two favorites from the fungi kingdom: golden Chanterelles and gorgeous Black Trumpet mushrooms. Boasting a buttery aroma and earthy flavor, these Northwest beauties are only available in the wild, developing a cult following of local ‘mushroom hunters’ who roam our forests looking for these treats of nature.
Focaccia Bread
Baked by New Day Bakery, this soft, chewy Italian-style loaf is kissed with fragrant fresh herbs. It’s delicious served warm and dipped in olive oil.
Mille Prosecco Millesimato Extra-Dry DOC
Fabulously lively and light at every glass, this extra-dry Italian Prosecco features a bouquet of apple and pear notes as well as hints of light citrus.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the shorter days of December, the hens rise with the sun to roam outdoors—and tuck into their coop early each evening to roost.
Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s bounty of winter greens includes: Castelfranco and Rosa del Veneto radicchio, claytonia, and sunflower shoots.
Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also contains Austrian Crescent fingerling potatoes, Black Futsu Squash, sweet onions, Fuyu persimmons, and both Mountain Rose and Winter Crisp apples.
Garden-Grown Herbs
Heirloom Tualco garlic, Conservor shallots and mixed herbs from the hoophouse and walled garden here at Bella Luna.
Dick Taylor Peppermint Drinking Chocolate
Just add milk: Crafted by the chocolatiers at Dick Taylor, this thick and velvety European-style drinking chocolate is beautifully complemented by bright peppermint notes.
