Hello, May! The Latest News from Farm & Larder and Bella Luna Farms

April showers have indeed brought May flowers, gracing Bella Luna with a lush beauty as spring has arrived in all its glory.

The grounds are awash in color, from the bluebells and forget-me-nots to over 3,500 rhododendrons; the native trillium and huckleberry are also flowering underneath the Bigleaf maple trees (where we’ve even spotted a few nests and baby birds!). Blooming on all corners of the property, our many different fruits—from the apple and pear trees to the blueberry, strawberry and raspberry plants—are also eagerly awaiting a visit from one or more of our local hard working bees.

As promised last month, we are also making fresh updates to our weekly box subscriptions: We know that oftentimes one size does not fit all, so in that spirit we are now offering a smaller version of our weekly box delivery for subscribers who wish it. This option will include a half dozen eggs, wine and bread and then smaller portions of the fresh vegetables, fruits and housemade goods and local provisions—making it ideal for smaller families and appetites! Subscribers who elect to stay on the current plan will now receive our new larger box option with the same locally-grown produce and provisions, plus a dozen eggs each week. You may select a new plan at the beginning of your next subscription cycle; for full details, see here.

Additionally, after two years without a change, we also find it necessary to increase the price of our weekly subscriptions due to rising costs. Full details and new pricing are available here; rates will increase approximately 10%. Here at Farm & Larder we are committed to providing you the best in artisanal provisions and farm-fresh produce and want to ensure you receive the highest quality available each and every week. We greatly value your business, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions!
