How it Works
First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.
Spring Color
With sunnier days and milder temps, doesn’t it feel like spring has truly arrived in earnest? Thus, this week’s delivery fittingly celebrates the season’s most colorful offerings, from bright green asparagus and purple sprouting broccoli to vibrant mixed baby beets and red sunchokes, plus continuing favorites like Meyer lemons and Cara Cara oranges. Complemented by eggs from our heritage-breed hens, rich and silky Tunawerth yogurt, fresh-baked Challah bread, and beautiful garden greens and herbs, this color-rich lineup is fit for Easter brunch, lunch and beyond.
Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:
Challah Bread
Baked just for us by our favorite bakery in Snohomish, this fresh loaf boasts a sweet, rich flavor thanks to a traditional base of silky eggs and Shepherd’s Grain flour, plus a touch of sugar.
J. Mourat Collection Vin de France Rosé
Comprising vineyards spanning 120 hectares, Vignobles Mourat represents one of the largest viticultural plots dedicated to organic agriculture in the Loire Valley. Made from Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Cab Franc, this bright and thirst quenching Rosé is bursting with aromas of crushed cherry, watermelon and herb. It is fleshy on the palate with intense flavors of cherry and raspberry.
Tunawerth Creamery Greek Yogurt
Perfectly-creamy, yet delightfully-tangy, this lovely yogurt hails from a small, family-operated creamery located in Tenino, Washington.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens is made up of three breeds: Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware. As they balance their time between foraging in their outdoor run during rain breaks and then snuggling up in their coop in the evenings, they also enjoy produce trimmings and fresh greens to supplement their diet of organic layer mash, and continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream.
Organic Greens
This week’s selection of gorgeous spring greens features green cabbage, Chioggia radicchio, mixed radicchio, and red and green Belgian endive.
Seasonal Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes: purple sprouting broccoli, mixed baby red and golden beets, red sunchokes, parsnips, Delicata squash, baby leeks, La Ratte fingerling potatoes, asparagus, fennel and red radishes, plus Meyer lemons and Cara Cara oranges.
Garden-Grown Herbs
Mint. thyme, and parsley from the walled garden.
