How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

Spring Splendor

The two essential ingredients for a rainbow—rain and sunshine—are not rarities during the month of April, as we experience everything from bright sunny rays to bouts of drizzle, and sometimes both at the same time. Thus, this week’s menu includes a “rainbow” of spring favorites to help you craft a cozy weekend brunch—from housemade apple butter and farmstead eggs to Gruyère cheese bread, Morning Glory muffins, and locally-roasted coffee beans. A wide assortment of vibrant produce, such as jumbo asparagus, baby red beets, French sorrel, and red spring onions, rounds out this colorful, springtime-fresh box.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Gruyère Cheese Bread & Morning Glory Muffins
Made in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this freshly-baked loaf balances sweet, nutty Gruyère with a light, crisp crust. Absolutely wonderful re-warmed in the oven—just sprinkle with a few drops of water and bake at 350° for about 15 minutes. Also included in your delivery: Healthful and hearty muffins made with cinnamon, vanilla, crushed pineapple and finely-grated carrots.

Island Time Coffee Ferry Lines Blues Blend
Crafted specifically for the Northwest aesthetic, Island Time Coffee Company sources only the finest, farm-direct, sustainable coffee beans from Latin America and Indonesia. All of the Whidbey Island company’s coffee is small-batch roasted, ensuring the best possible freshness.

Nashi Orchards Non Alcoholic Sparkling Korean Giant Perry
Located on Vashon Island, Nashi Orchards uses sustainable practices to grow the Asian and European pears and heirloom apples that are then handcrafted into award-winning hard ciders and perries. Hand-crafted from Korean Giant Pears, this slightly sparkling beverage contains no added sugars and is pleasantly sweet from the ripe Asian pears.

Farm Fresh Eggs
As they balance their time between foraging in their outdoor run during rain breaks and then snuggling up in their coop in the evenings, our small flock of heritage breed laying hens is made up of three breeds: Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware. They especially enjoy produce trimmings and fresh greens to supplement their diet of organic layer mash, and continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream that we collect throughout the day.

Housemade Crème Fraîche
Our rich and silky crème fraîche is crafted in our farmstead creamery from pasteurized organic sweet cream.

Housemade Apple Butter
A farmhouse favorite crafted from fresh-picked Bella Luna orchard apples, slow-cooked in a cider reduction and seasoned with organic cane sugar and warm spices.

Organic Greens
This week’s selection of gorgeous spring greens stars green Bibb lettuce, Collard green rapini and French sorrel, plus red and green Belgian endive

Seasonal Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes: Jumbo asparagus, Calcot red spring onions, baby red beets, red potatoes and baby leeks, plus Cara Cara oranges and Meyer lemons.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Sweet bay, Italian parsley, mint, thyme and shallots from the walled garden.
