How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

Summer al Fresco

This week’s box is bursting with the vibrant flavors of an Italian summer, perfect for alfresco dinners and leisurely lunches. Twirl Lagana’s handmade Vesuvio pasta through Nonna Pat’s signature marinara sauce, pair it with herb-kissed focaccia from Snohomish Bakery, and finish with a glass of Columbia Valley red wine. You’ll also find farm-fresh eggs in a painter’s palette of natural hues, tender garlic scapes, sun-ripened apricots and cherries, and a bounty of seasonal vegetables and greens—including endive frisée, Little Gem lettuce, fennel, red spring onions, and sweet onions—plus just-picked garden herbs to tie it all together.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Lagana Foods Vesuvio Pasta
Named after the spiraling slopes of Italy’s Mount Vesuvius, this pasta shape features tight curls and deep ridges that hold onto sauces beautifully—making it a perfect pairing for pesto, pomodoro, marinara sauces, and more. Its hearty texture and handmade feel bring a rustic elegance to even the simplest dish.

Nonna Pat’s Marinara Sauce
Crafted in our farm kitchen with organically-grown local tomatoes (and lots of love), the key to our beloved family recipe is its simplicity: juicy, ripe tomatoes, a handful of hand-torn basil leaves, fresh garlic, a swirl of first-press Italian olive oil, then just a dash of sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

Focaccia Bread
Baked by our favorite bakery located in nearby Snohomish, this soft, chewy Italian-style loaf is kissed with fragrant fresh herbs. It’s delicious served warm and dipped in olive oil.

Cavatappi Sangiovese
This beautiful Columbia Valley red features notes of red currant, raspberry and cranberry. The flavors are fresh, with plenty of tart, puckering cranberry notes throughout, making it a light and lovely pairing for pretty much any summer fare.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens is made up of three breeds: Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware. As they spend plenty of time outdoors in the sun, they are also enjoying garden trimmings and fresh greens to supplement their diet of organic layer mash as they continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s delivery of beautiful greens features a fancy salad mix, endive frisée and crisp Little Gem lettuce.

Dried Porcini Mushrooms
Italian for ‘little pigs’, these dried locally-foraged Porcini mushrooms from local company Foraged and Found are meaty and rich in taste, imparting a distinctive, woodsy flavor to any number of dishes.

Garlic Scapes
These tender green shoots grow from the tops of hardneck garlic plants, and are harvested before they flower. Milder than mature garlic, they add a fresh, savory bite to pestos, stir-fries, and vinaigrettes. Try chopping them into eggs, blending into dips, or grilling whole for a simple seasonal side.

Summer Apricots
These sun-kissed apricots are picked at peak ripeness, offering a perfect balance of sweet and tart. Enjoy them fresh out of hand, sliced into salads, or roasted with a drizzle of honey.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes: fennel, red spring onions and sweet onions, plus sweet dark cherries.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Italian parsley and thyme from the walled garden.
