How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.


Cozy Risotto Night

This week’s box invites you to slow down and stir something wonderful. Arborio rice and our rich farm-made chicken stock set the stage for a creamy risotto night, ready to welcome sweet sautéed leeks, golden Kabocha squash, or fragrant garden garlic. Alongside, you’ll find beautiful winter salad fixings—vibrant radicchio and crisp Belgian endive—perfect for tossing with bright Cara Cara oranges or thin slices of tart Granny Smith apple. Chioggia beets bring a splash of color to the table, while a rustic Pain au Levain loaf is ready for tearing and sharing. There’s also fresh Bellsong buttermilk to whisk into dressings. Altogether, it’s a cozy, seasonal spread that balances warm comfort with the bright flavors of late winter.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Arborio Rice
This round-grain rice comes from the Po River Valley region of Italy and is named for the town of Arborio located in the heart of the area. When cooked with our flavorful chicken stock and a splash of white wine, it becomes creamy and starchy and is a great accompaniment to just about any flavor combination.

Pain au Levain Bread
This slightly-nutty, slightly-sweet sourdough loaf embodies country-style French baking with a chewy crust and light, airy interior. Baked just for us at a small bakery in Snohomish, this traditional Pain au Levain is crafted using the bakery’s own sourdough starter.

Portlandia Sauvignon Blanc 2022
From Washington’s Columbia Valley, this bright and lively Sauvignon Blanc is beautifully crisp and refreshing. Aromas of guava, pink grapefruit, and classic gooseberry lead the way, followed by vibrant citrus and a clean mineral finish with a twist of lemon. Zesty and invigorating, it’s a perfect companion to fresh salads, risottos, and the cozy flavors of the season.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. As the days lengthen, they are enjoying more time outside in their run, scratching in the grass and soaking up the first hints of spring sunshine.

Fresh Buttermilk
Beautifully-thick, tangy and creamy buttermilk made in our farmstead creamery, Bellsong.

Farm & Larder Chicken Stock
Made from roasted Bella Luna chickens, this flavorful stock is simmered slowly for hours with carrots, onions and celery and seasoned with a dash of sea salt.

Bow Hill Blueberry Marinade
Crafted from heirloom blueberries, this punchy, small-batch marinade and salad dressing is excellent on roasted vegetables or meat, or stirred into grain bowls and salads.

Seasonal Organic Greens
Your box contains a beautiful selection of mixed radicchio, plus red and green Belgian endive.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection includes baby leeks, fennel, Kabocha winter squash, Chioggia beets, yellow onions and mixed mushrooms, plus Cara Cara oranges and Granny Smith apples.

Garden-Grown Herbs
