How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

La Dolce Primavera

This week’s box leans into the sweet pleasures of spring with an Italian-inspired lineup that pairs hand-crafted fresh mafaldine pasta and locally-foraged Porcini mushrooms with vibrant spring produce, garden herbs, and tender salad greens. You’ll also discover delicate speckled quail eggs tucked into this week’s delivery—a petite culinary treasure prized for their rich flavor and charming presentation. With cinnamon-swirl brioche, ruby-red rhubarb, and bright chive blossoms rounding out the mix, this week’s box is an invitation to savor la dolce primavera—the sweet, simple beauty of cooking with the season.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Lagana Foods Fresh Mafaldine Pasta
Also known as Mafalda or Reginette, Mafaldine pasta is a type of ribbon-shaped pasta that resembles miniature lasagna, boasting beautiful, wavy edges and a thick, chewy bite. The fresh pasta from this particular brand is hand-crafted in Seattle using sustainably grown Shepherd’s Grain flour and water, and cut to shape using Old World-style bronze dies.

Porcini Mushrooms
Italian for ‘little pigs’, these locally-foraged spring Porcini mushrooms are meaty and distinctively rich in taste, imparting a distinctive and woodsy flavor and aroma to any number of dishes.

Cinnamon Swirl Brioche
A fresh-baked cinnamon-swirl brioche loaf from New Day Bakery.

Thomas Calder Selection Vin de France Blanc
Bright, aromatic, and endlessly food-friendly, this charming French white was selected by Paris-based importer Thomas Calder for its balance of freshness and texture. Expect notes of lemon zest, ripe pear, and delicate florals alongside a crisp mineral backbone perfect for pairing with spring produce and creamy pasta.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware hens provide us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the long days of spring, they are enjoying lots of time outside in their run, pecking, scratching, and soaking up the sunshine.

Quail Eggs
Considered a delicacy in many parts of the world, the quail egg packs a beautifully rich flavor inside its tiny speckled brown and tan shell. These petite beauties from Oak Meadows Farm are wonderful served poached, deviled, pickled or even fried sunny side up.

Tunawerth Creamery Greek Yogurt
Perfectly-creamy, yet delightfully-tangy, this lovely yogurt hails from a small, family-operated creamery located in Tenino, Washington.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s box includes sunflower shoots, fava shoots, and spicy salad mix.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes fennel, Nantes carrots, yellow onions, beautiful purple asparagus, red radishes and rosy-red spring rhubarb.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Chive blossoms, parsley, thyme, tarragon and mint from the walled garden and middle field here at Bella Luna.
