How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

Autumn Treasures

October arrives with a box brimming with abundance, as this week’s menu highlights the treasures of the season: sweet, crisp Canadice grapes harvested from our Grapehouse and locally foraged Chanterelle mushrooms—earthy Northwest gems rich with fall flavor. A freshly baked Gruyère cheese bread pairs beautifully with Bellsong Creamery’s tangy fromage blanc, while farm-fresh eggs and tender seasonal greens round out the selection. On the sweeter side, you’ll find giant orchard plums, blueberries, and a rainbow of produce that speaks to autumn’s transition—from late-summer tomatoes and peppers to cool-weather fennel and beets.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Canadice Grapes
Beautiful sweet-crisp table grapes harvested from our own Grapehouse here at Bella Luna.

Locally-Foraged Chanterelle Mushrooms
This week’s delivery includes two favorites from the fungi kingdom: White and golden Chanterelle mushrooms! Boasting a buttery aroma and earthy flavor, these Northwest beauties are only available in the wild, developing a cult following of local ‘mushroom hunters’ who roam our forests looking for these treats of nature.

Gruyère Cheese Bread
Made in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this freshly-baked loaf balances sweet, nutty Gruyère with a light, crisp crust. Absolutely wonderful re-warmed in the oven—just sprinkle with a few drops of water and bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.

Dragon’s Head Cider Sparkling Perry
This week’s box features Dragon’s Head Sparkling Perry, crafted from a blend of rare pears grown and foraged on Vashon Island. Made in the traditional méthode champenoise, it’s bright, elegant, and effervescent—bursting with notes of Meyer lemon, cucumber, pear, and honeysuckle.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of laying hens is made up of three heritage breeds: Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware. As they spend plenty of time outdoors in nice weather, they are also enjoying garden trimmings to supplement their diet as they continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, green, beige and cream.

Bellsong Creamery Fromage Blanc
Light in texture and tangy in taste, our fromage blanc is lovingly-made from local cow’s milk—put it to work in your favorite recipes, or mix it with fresh herbs or lemon zest and honey to add lusciously-creamy appeal to your next cheese board.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s beautiful selection of greens includes Lusia and mixed radicchio, plus mixed Bibb lettuces.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes: Bunched baby carrots, sweet Italian peppers, celery, cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, fennel and red beets, plus giant plums and blueberries.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Basil, edible flowers, rosemary and flat-leaf Italian parsley from the walled garden and hoophouse.
