What’s In The Box? June 21-27

Summertime Brunch
Summer has officially arrived! This week’s box is fit for brunch, lunch and beyond with all the ingredients for a summer vegetable frittata (think: sweet peppers, baby summer squash and yellow fingerling potatoes) and Italian sausage to serve alongside. Also featuring such favorites as Pomodoro bread, apricot jam and fragrant herbs, this bright lineup is rounded out by the first of the summer peaches and our signature cobbler mix—enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Jones Family Farms’ Italian Sausage

Crafted from all-natural Hampshire pork and spiced with savory herbs, this delectable, traditional Italian-style sausage from Lopez Island’s Jones Family Farms would be delicious added to a summer vegetable frittata.

Pomodoro Loaf

Flecked with flavorful sun-dried tomatoes and herbs, plus a hint of sea salt, this savory loaf is baked just for us by our favorite bakery in Snohomish.

Mille Prosecco Millesimato Extra-Dry DOC

Fabulously lively and light at every glass, this extra-dry Italian Prosecco is wonderful mixed into morning mimosas thanks to a bouquet of apple and pear notes as well as hints of light citrus.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. The “girls” are enjoying the long summer afternoons and accompanying warm evenings, chasing bugs and eating tasty green weeds we pull from the garden.

Apricot Jam

Our organic jam is crafted from gorgeous, bright orange Harglow apricots. This particular variety boasts an exceptional flavor and texture, making it ideal for cooking and preserving—enjoy!

Cherry Valley Dairy Cultured Butter with Gray Sea Salt

This silky-smooth butter from Duvall-based Cherry Valley Dairy combines sweet, grassy butter with artisan gray sea salt for a flavor profile that wows.

F&L Cobbler Crust Mix

Our signature cobbler crust mix contains organic flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and butter; when combined with cream, the resulting mixture can be used for a light and fluffy cobbler topping or cut into rounds for shortcakes. Pair with either your favorite stone fruit or berries for the perfect summer dessert.

Ripe Summer Peaches

Beautiful peaches from Tonnemaker Family Orchard in Royal City.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Summer is calling: The first crop of luscious strawberries has arrived. Tender and ripe, these local beauties are best enjoyed right away, so we recommend trying them in this week’s recipe for strawberry shortcake.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Mixed baby lettuces, baby spinach and peppery arugula greens.

Seasonal Organic Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes red beets, Walla Walla onions, baby summer squash, Hedlin Farms sweet peppers, Cremini mushrooms, yellow fingerling potatoes, red radishes and red beets.

Fresh Garden Herbs

Enjoy a bountiful selection of fragrant herbs this week: Parsley, garlic, thyme, mint and rosemary.
