Gather round the table this weekend and rid yourself of the rainy day blues with a hearty and satisfying brunch starring fresh, hot-from-the-oven cream biscuits topped with our signature sausage gravy. Complemented by breakfast-ready ingredients such as homemade jam, Gruyère cheese bread, and a dozen farm-fresh eggs, this week’s box also includes beautiful Jerusalem artichokes, new potatoes, leeks and Bloomsdale spinach—pour yourself a cup of joe and get cookin’.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Farm & Larder Sausage Gravy

Crafted in our farmhouse kitchen from all-natural Skagit River Ranch sausage, plus fresh herbs, onions and sweet milk, our signature sausage gravy makes for a very satisfying start to the day—serve over our warm cream biscuits and dig in!

Cream Biscuit Mix

Just add cream! Made from organic flour, sugar and butter, plus aluminum-free baking powder and a dash of sea salt, our savory housemade biscuit mix bakes up light and fluffy. Top hot-from-the-oven biscuits with a slathering of homemade jam or this week’s signature sausage gravy.

Gruyère Cheese Bread

Made in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this freshly-baked loaf balances sweet, nutty Gruyère cheese with a light, crisp crust. It is absolutely delicious toasted or incorporated into a savory breakfast strata with fresh spinach—see recipes for details.

Ronan by Clinet Bordeaux 2012

Originating from the terroirs of Côtes de Castillon, Bourg and Bordeaux, Ronan By Clinet wines are produced by the prestigious Château Clinet brand of the Pomerol wine region in France. This particular bordeaux is made from 100% merlot grapes and boasts a brilliant ruby color in addition to notes of cherry, raspberry and red currant.

Farm Fresh Eggs

As they spend their time dodging raindrops on wet spring days, our heritage breed laying hens enjoy the tasty green popweed we pull from the garden, in turn supplying us with eggs in shades of brown, blue and green with bright yellow yolks. Enjoy a full dozen eggs this week to incorporate into your rainy-day brunch.

Housemade Raspberry Jam

Made here at Bella Luna in our farmhouse kitchen from ripe raspberries plucked at the height of the summer season, plus organic cane sugar and pectin.

Fresh Citrus

Lemons and Gold Nugget mandarins.

Seasonal Organic Fruits & Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes yellow onions, leeks, Cremini mushrooms and Jerusalem artichokes, plus Rose Finn, Russian Banana or Ozette fingerling potatoes.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Kale rapini, Lacinato kale, French red sorrel and Bloomsdale spinach greens.

Fresh Garden Herbs
