Put on the coffee pot, pull out your favorite skillet and wake up to this week’s box—with organic chicken breakfast sausage, raisin bread, farm-fresh eggs and housemade preserves, plus a beautiful assortment of produce, it has everything you need to whip up a cozy breakfast to linger over with family and friends. Choose from the likes of carrots, turnips, potatoes and Jimmy Nardello peppers, play with such unique ingredients as smoked blue cheese and all-natural honey butter, and enjoy greeting the day!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Double DD Meats Chicken Breakfast Sausage

Family owned and run since 1955, Mountlake Terrace butchery Double DD Meats only carries naturally raised meats. This includes this week’s flavorful breakfast sausage, which is made from organically-raised Draper Valley Farm chickens fed a vegetarian diet sans hormones and antibiotics.

Fresh Raisin Bread

Made with natural starter, cinnamon and moist, chewy Flame raisins, this freshly-baked loaf is from our favorite bakery in nearby Snohomish.

Tortoise Creek 2015 Mission Grove Pinot Noir

Attractive floral aromas and bright cherry and raspberry flavors make a light, refreshing impression in this medium-bodied red wine. Light tannins and a lively acidity round the beautifully-balanced finished product.

Golden Glen Creamery Honey Butter

This Bow-based farm crafts all-natural butter, cheese and dairy products with the help of their small herd of Holstein, Guernsey and Jersey cows. Kissed with notes of honey, this week’s delicious butter is dense and decadent—you’ll be hooked after the first bite!

Smoked Blue Cheese

Accented with bold smoky notes, this creamy soft cheese boasts a gorgeous marbled center and flavorful bite, making it a wonderful complement to salad greens.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the shorter days of fall, the girls are up with the sun to roam the outdoors where they still enjoy the warm afternoons. Bedtime is coming much earlier now, as we see them heading into their house to roost as the sun is going down.

Blueberry Jam

Made here at Bella Luna in our farmhouse kitchen from our fresh-picked blueberries, organic cane sugar and pectin. (That’s it!)

Ripe Fruit

Beautiful Asian pears and Reliance grapes.

Seasonal Organic Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes Ozette potatoes, Romanesco cauliflower, Thumbelina carrots, Jimmy Nardello peppers, celery, red onions, Ishikura long green onions, Pink Beauty radishes, Hakurei turnips, heirloom tomatoes and Persian cucumbers.
