What’s In The Box? April 14-20

Just in time for your upcoming Easter gatherings, this week’s box is filled with bright spring ingredients and light Mediterranean flavors. With provisions such as Kalamata olive bread, tangy Greek yogurt and dry brined Moroccan black olives, and produce like cucumber and baby potatoes, the beautiful lineup also includes all the ingredients for our Nonna Pat’s beloved lemon chicken recipe. Accented by capers and fresh oregano, this holiday-worthy dish features airline chicken oven-roasted with Meyer lemons, garlic and white wine, and we hope it becomes a favorite for your family, too. Fresh Airline Chicken Breast

Also known as a Frenched breast or Statler chicken, this elegant, juicy cut of chicken includes a skin-on boneless breast and the attached drumette and provides the perfect base for our Nonna Pat’s signature lemon chicken recipe.

Mina Dry Cured Black Beldi Olives

Traditionally cured without a brine, these meaty Moroccan olives are instead sun-dried to perfection. Full of flavor, these olives go well with salads, as a snack, or as the perfect addition to a cheese platter.

Kalamata Olive Bread

Baked just for us by our favorite local bakery in Snohomish, this Kalamata olive loaf is studded with juicy, briny Mediterranean olives and is delicious served warm from the oven—the trick to a great crispy crust is to brush a little water on top before reheating!

Clos des Lumières L’éclat Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2020

This refreshing French Rosé is crafted from a medley of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvedre grapes that give the wine a very fine nose dominated by hints of strawberry, pink grapefruit and cherry.

Farm Fresh Eggs

As they spend more time outdoors in their run, our small flock of heritage breed laying hens are enjoying succulent popweed pulled from the gardens along with an extra helping of grain to supplement their diet, continuing to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, beige and cream.
