What’s In The Box? February 25 – March 3

Simply Delicious
This week’s box is fit for brunch, lunch and beyond with all the ingredients for an easy, elegant meal—from our housemade butternut squash-ginger soup and multigrain bread to smoky blue cheese dressing and roasted hazelnuts to add to crisp salad greens. Also featuring such favorites as Sauk Farm apple cider, organic whole grain flour from Cairnspring Mills, our signature bread pudding and farm-fresh eggs, this lineup is rounded out by Savoy cabbage, Cara Cara oranges and Austrian Crescent fingerling potatoes—enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Butternut Squash Soup

To craft this incredibly comforting soup, beautiful Butternut squash is first roasted with top-quality olive oil, sea salt and fresh ground pepper, and then blended with garden-fresh herbs, fragrant ginger, our housemade chicken stock and a splash of silken cream.

Multigrain Bread

Crafted in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this healthy freshly-baked loaf is made with locally-milled Shepherd’s Grain flour and seven different whole grains, plus a hint of honey and toasted sunflower seeds.

Cairnspring Mills Whole Grain Expresso Bread Flour

This Burlington-based company is rediscovering the heart and soul of flour-making by producing small-batch, responsibly-grown flours made solely from wheat grown in the Pacific Northwest. This earthy and rustic flour is perfect for all your baking that calls for whole wheat flour.

Baking Yeast

The all-important ingredient to help produce fluffy bread!

F&L Bread Pudding

Crafted with warming spices, raisins and farmstead eggs, this is one soul-soothing bread pudding—simply pop it in a 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes to reheat and then enjoy!

Lapis Luna 2018 Chardonnay

This California Chardonnay features orange zest, ripe pineapple and vanilla on the nose. Full-bodied, fresh and lively, it is also lush with white peach and ripe apple flavors, leading to a savory buttered finish.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and cream.

Smoky Blue Cheese Dressing

Our creamy housemade dressing is made with fresh herbs, garlic and gorgeous smoked blue cheese.

Roasted Hazelnuts

Top your salads with these delightful roasted beauties for a little added crunch!

Matzo Project Matzo Chips

These crispy, crunchy snack chips are vegan, nut-free, dairy-free—and delicious.

Sauk Farm Honeycrisp Apple Cider

Crafted from cold-pressed Honeycrisp apples grown on Sauk Farm in Concrete, Washington, this refreshing cider is delicious served crisp and cold all on its own, or is mixed into your next cocktail.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Romaine, radish and sunflower microgreens, plus a mix of braising greens.

Seasonal Organic Fruits & Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes Savoy cabbage, leeks, pac choi, raab, Walla Walla sweet onions and Austrian Crescent fingerling potatoes, plus Cara Cara oranges and Meyer lemons.

Fresh Garden Herbs

Italian parsley, thyme and shallots from the walled garden and hoophouse at Bella Luna Farms.
