JANUARY 29-FEBRUARY 4

Game Time
Gather family, friends and fellow fans for a game day-ready feast starring baked potatoes topped with our signature chili crafted from red beans, organic Andouille sausage and fragrant spices, plus crisp coleslaw, garlic fougasse bread and silky crème fraîche dip with seasonal veggies fit for dunking. Polish off Super Sunday with rich, decadent brownies and a frosty mug of Hilliard’s ‘12th Can’ Pale Ale—go Hawks!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Housemade Chili

Slow-simmered with premium dried pinto beans, our classic-style chili boasts a wonderful depth of flavor and a smoky-spicy kick, crafted with fresh garlic, onions, Anaheim peppers and all-organic Andouille sausage, plus our own special seasoning blend.

Cunio’s Slaw

Fresh and light, slightly sweet with just a hint of vinegar and plenty of crunch, this game day-ready side dish is crafted by our favorite neighborhood chef Christopher Cunio, who wows diners with his Northwest-seasonal cuisine.

Garlic Fougasse Bread

Baked just for us at a small bakery in Snohomish, this rustic flatbread is ideal for sharing. Similar in style to traditional foccacia, the artisanal-style loaf is studded with fresh garlic to give it extra depth and flavor.

Hilliard’s ‘12th Can’ Pale Ale

Brewed with Cascade hops, this unmistakably-Northwest ale from Ballard’s own Hilliard’s Brewery is smooth and light, with a golden amber color and hints of malt—best paired with victory!

Farm Fresh Eggs

As they spend more time snug in their coop during the cold winter months, our heritage breed laying hens are enjoying an extra helping of grain to supplement their diet, in turn supplying us with eggs in beautiful shades of brown, blue and green.

Crème Fraîche

Crafted in our farmstead creamery, this rich and silky custard-like cream adds a beautiful finishing touch to this week’s chili, and is also wonderful blended with herbs for a fresh dip—see this week’s recipes for details.

Pickled Cauliflower

A wonderful complement to a crudité platter, these spicy white and orange cauliflower florets are pickled in vinegar and fresh herbs.

Seasonal Organic Fruits & Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes red onions, Bolero carrots, Anaheim chiles, Carnival squash, parsnips and Russet potatoes, plus Meyer lemons and crisp Autumn Glory apples. Also: crisp, crunchy radishes and celery for crudité.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Peppery arugula greens and crunchy radicchio.

Fresh Garden Herbs

Fresh Italian parsley, chives, garlic, shallots and thyme from the walled garden and greenhouse at Bella Luna Farms.

Housemade Brownies

Our decadent, delicious brownies are handmade with silky eggs, organic sugar and dark chocolate chips from San Francisco’s world-famous Ghiradelli.
