Just in time for St. Paddy’s Day, this week’s box bursts to life with beautiful spring ‘greenery’—from green cabbage and leeks to peppery arugula greens and garden-fresh herbs. Complementing this beautiful bounty are all the ingredients for a feast inspired by the Emerald Isle: Housemade potato-leek soup and traditional brown Irish soda bread, plus Belgian-style ale, apple cake mix and a pickling spice kit to craft your own corned beef. Housemade Potato-Leek Soup

Fresh leeks and creamy golden potatoes pair beautifully in this soul-soothing soup, crafted in our farmhouse kitchen with savory fresh herbs, Bella Luna chicken stock, sea salt and cracked pepper. Serve with toasted hunks of Irish soda bread for dipping!

Brown Irish Soda Bread

Baked in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this beloved, traditional-style quick bread is freshened up by the addition of whole wheat and caraway seed.

Pickling Spice Kit

This signature combination of spices—which includes black peppercorns, mustard and coriander seeds, bay leaves and warming notes of cinnamon, cloves and ginger—is the key to amazing corned beef. Simply mix it into a brine solution, add a beef brisket and allow this spice mix to do its magic before and during cooking—see recipes for full details!

Belgian-Style Specialty Ale

This Poulsbo-based brewery ages this award-winning ale in bourbon gin barrels to give it an extra boost of boozy flavor. Dry hopped and fermented with an aromatic Belgian yeast strain, it has an intense, tropical hoppy aroma and flavor.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Spending their time dodging raindrops on wet, almost-spring days, our heritage breed laying hens are now also enjoying the tasty green popweed we pull from the garden, in turn supplying us with eggs in beautiful shades of brown, blue and green.

Housemade Raspberry Jam

Made here at Bella Luna in our farmhouse kitchen from ripe raspberries plucked at the height of the summer season, plus organic cane sugar and pectin.

Apple Cake Mix
