What’s In The Box? October 31 – November 6

Breakfast Favorites
Whether you favor a breakfast-for-dinner feast on Halloween night, or a leisurely brunch after enjoying that extra hour of sleep from Daylight Savings, this week’s bright lineup is sure to satisfy with favorite fixins’ like whole grain hotcake mix, organic sausages from Skagit River Ranch and fresh-baked cinnamon-raisin bread. Also included: Crisp apple cider, our housemade crème fraîche and beautiful fall produce like Melrose apples, Delicata squash and Chioggia beets. Enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Whole Grain Hotcake Mix

Crafted from whole grains, this mix produces hearty flapjacks rich in taste and flavor. Simply mix with water, heat up the griddle and get to flipping!

Skagit River Ranch Breakfast Sausage

With a flavor profile that includes hints of sweet maple syrup and savory spices, this incredible breakfast sausage is made from all-natural pork raised on the Skagit River Ranch in Sedro-Woolley. These pampered pigs roam outdoors in certified-organic pasture land to root and dig, thriving on a diet of flax seed, corn and wheat.

Fresh Cinnamon-Raisin Bread

Made with natural starter, cinnamon and moist, chewy Flame raisins, this freshly-baked loaf is from our favorite bakery in nearby Snohomish.

Black Raven Flocktoberfest Lager

This seasonal lager from this Redmond-based brewery is brewed in the German Marzen style for a clean, balanced flavor. Crafted with traditional Czech grown and malted barley for an authentic European malt flavor with a light, toasty undertone, the brew’s combination of domestic and European also hops provide a balanced, light hop profile.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our small flock of heritage breed laying hens gives us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. With the shorter days of fall, the girls are up with the sun to roam the outdoors. Bedtime is coming much earlier now, as we see them heading into their house to roost as the sun is going down.

Crème Fraîche

Crafted in our farmstead creamery from pasteurized organic sweet cream, our rich and silky crème fraîche adds a beautiful finishing touch to eggs, salad dressings and more.

Sauk Farm Honeycrisp Apple Cider

Crafted from cold-pressed Honeycrisp apples grown on Sauk Farm in Concrete, Washington, this refreshing cider is delicious served crisp and cold all on its own, or mixed into your next cocktail.

Seasonal Fruit

Fresh-picked Melrose apples from the orchard.

Seasonal Organic Greens

Castelfranco and Treviso radicchio, plus curly endive.

Seasonal Organic Vegetables

This week’s produce selection also includes yellow onions, Chioggia beets, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, Magic Myrna fingerling potatoes and Delicata squash.

Fresh Garden Herbs

Italian parsley, garlic, thyme and rosemary from the walled garden and greenhouse.
