How it Works

First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.

Taste of the Italian Countryside

This week’s box brings the warmth of an Italian kitchen together with the freshness of the spring market. Fresh, bronze-cut pasta and savory Italian sausage set the stage for comforting meals, layered with the rich depth of Norcino pancetta and the earthy character of foraged mushrooms. Vibrant Treviso radicchio, sweet citrus, and garden herbs add brightness, while a colorful mix of roots and seasonal vegetables rounds out the table. Finished with crusty Pain au Levain and farm-fresh eggs, it’s a box designed for slow cooking, simple pleasures, and gathering around a truly satisfying meal.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Fresh Lagana Pasta
This fresh, locally-made pasta is hand-crafted using sustainably grown Shepherd’s Grain flour and water, and cut to shape using Old World-style bronze dies.

Skagit River Ranch Italian Sausage
The pampered pigs raised on the Skagit River Ranch in Sedro-Woolley roam outdoors in certified-organic pasture land to root, dig, and cavort as only happy pigs can, thriving on a diet of flax seed, corn and wheat. Spiced with savory herbs, this delectable Italian-style sausage will add a flavorful, savory note to a hearty bowl of pasta this week.

Norcino Salumi Pancetta Tesa
This beautifully cured pork belly is seasoned with red wine, juniper, fennel, and black pepper, then aged flat for over four months to develop its rich, savory depth. Traditionally used to build flavor in pastas and cooked dishes, it’s equally delicious shaved thin for a charcuterie board—tender, aromatic, and full of old-world character.

Pain au Levain Bread
Baked just for us at a small bakery in Snohomish, this traditional Pain au Levain is crafted using the bakery’s own sourdough starter.

Lustau Vermut Rojo
Crafted in Jerez, Spain, this rich, sherry-based vermouth blends aged Amontillado and Pedro Ximénez for a beautifully layered sip. Infused with botanicals like wormwood and orange peel, it offers notes of toasted nuts, caramel, and citrus with a smooth, velvety finish. Serve simply over ice with a slice of orange for an easy, elegant aperitif.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. As the days lengthen, they are enjoying more time outside in their run, pecking, scratching, and soaking up the spring sunshine.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s box includes beautiful Treviso radicchio.

Mushroom Medley
Beautifully, locally-foraged mushrooms from our friends at Cascadia Mushrooms.

Root Vegetable Mix
A vibrant mix of Badger Flame beets and parsnips—this colorful medley brings together the best of the season’s roots. Grown for flavor and freshness, these vegetables are ready to roast, caramelize, and shine with just a little time in the oven. Simple, hearty, and full of spring character.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes cauliflower, sweet onions, purple sprouting broccoli, and Cara Cara oranges.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Fresh Italian parsley, thyme, and fresh bay from the hoophouse and walled garden here at Bella Luna.
