How it Works
First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.
Bold Flavors of the Bayou
This week’s box brings the soulful flavors of Cajun cooking to your table, layered with bold spice, slow-simmered comfort, and a touch of spring freshness. Andouille sausage, red beans, and fluffy white rice set the stage for a classic, deeply satisfying meal, with golden cornbread and a splash of hot sauce to round it out. Crisp cabbage, collard greens, and bright citrus add balance, while local honey and fresh pecans bring a hint of sweetness to the mix. It’s a box made for gathering, lingering, and letting the pot simmer just a little longer.
Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:
Skagit River Ranch Andouille Sausage
This pig has some kick: spiced with fresh-cracked pepper, hot paprika and cayenne pepper, this flavorful sausage from our friends at the Skagit River Ranch in Sedro-Woolley is crafted from their famous all-natural pork. These pampered pigs roam outdoors in certified-organic pasture land to root and dig, thriving on a diet of flax seed, corn and wheat.
Dried Rojo Chiquito Beans
A staple of Cajun cooking, these hearty red beans grown by Garden Treasures in Arlington are perfect for slow-simmered dishes full of flavor and comfort. Cook them low and slow with aromatics and spices, or pair with this week’s Andouille for a classic, satisfying meal.
Jasmine Rice
Simple, fluffy, and endlessly versatile, white rice is the foundation of so many Cajun classics.
Cornbread Mix
Golden, tender, and just a little sweet, this classic cornbread mix bakes up into the perfect companion for this week’s flavors. Serve warm alongside beans, sausage, or a hearty stew to soak up every last bite.
Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Baked just for us by our favorite local bakery, this fragrant, fresh-baked cinnamon raisin loaf is soft, lightly sweet, and full of warm spice. Perfect toasted with a pat of butter, served alongside a savory meal, or enjoyed as a simple snack any time of day.
Reuben’s Brews Pilsner
This Czech-style Pilsner from Seattle-based Reuben’s is a clean, crisp, and bright lager with bready malt notes, plus floral and spicy hops that are balanced with a hint of sweetness.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. As the days lengthen, they are enjoying more time outside in their run, pecking, scratching, and soaking up the spring sunshine.
Bella Luna Wildflower Honey

Ringold Valley Pecans
Grown in a small family orchard in Mesa, Washington, these golden-blonde pecans are known for their fresh, delicate flavor and satisfying crunch. A true step above the usual, they’re perfect for snacking, tossing into salads, or adding a little nutty richness to both sweet and savory dishes.
