How it Works
First of all, how does it work? A handcrafted wooden box will be hand-delivered to your doorstep, where it will remain throughout the duration of your subscription. This is where your weekly Farm & Larder goods will be placed each week.
What's in the box this week?
Easy Entertaining
It’s almost turkey time! As families and friends gather around the table, this week’s box is packed with farm-fresh provisions to make holiday entertaining effortless—from locally crafted salami and our own triple-crème Bella Bianca cheese to a bounty of produce like creamy potatoes, red beets, leeks, fragrant herbs, and Bella Luna orchard fruits. You’ll also find holiday helpers such as freshly baked English muffins, crisp sparkling cider, eggs from our heritage-breed hens, and beautiful organic greens. Happy Thanksgiving!
Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:
Norcino Porcini & Sage Salami
Crafted by Norcino Salumi in Skagit Valley, this salami is made by hand using old-world practices passed down from the Italian norci—truly a labor of tradition and care. Aged for a minimum of 65 days, it develops deep, complex flavors, namely of earthy mushrooms and fragrant herbs, that reflect Norcino’s commitment to artisanal curing and the terroir of the Pacific Northwest.
Bellsong Creamery Bella Bianca Cheese
Handcrafted here by our farmstead creamery, this triple-crème, soft-ripened cheese is rich and buttery with a delicate bloom. Fudgy and mild when young, developing savory notes with age, Bella Bianca pairs the sweetness of cream with a satiny, melt-in-the-mouth texture.
New Day Bakery English Muffins
This week’s CSA box features warm, freshly baked English muffins from New Day Bakery, crafted in small batches for peak flavor and texture. Perfect for welcoming holiday guests with effortless breakfasts or quick snacks, they bring a warm, homemade touch to your Thanksgiving table.
Dragon’s Head Newtown Pippin Sparkling Cider
The Newtown Pippin apples for this bright sparkling cider crafted on Vashon Island are fermented using the Méthode Traditionnelle process. The resulting cider is elegant and bone dry with persistent bubbles and singing acidity; perfect for toasting to another great holiday meal spent together.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of heritage-breed Black Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, and Delawares provides us with fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown and green. As fall days shorten, the hens rise with the sun to roam outdoors—and tuck into their coop early each evening to roost.
Cranberry Sauce
This farmhouse favorite infuses homey, warming spices with sweet-tart cranberries; it is lovely served as a side with holiday turkey, or spooned over our Bella Bianca cheese as an appetizer.
Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s selection of greens includes a bounty of mixed radicchio, plus red and green Belgian endive.
Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection contains Red Thumb fingerling potatoes, leeks, red beets, fennel bulbs, and red cabbage, plus Bella Luna orchard Liberty apples and Speckle pears.
Garden-Grown Herbs
A fragrant mixed bundle of herbs from the walled garden here at Bella Luna.
