What's in the box this week?

Fall Morning, Fresh Flavors

This week’s box celebrates the cozy comforts of a fall morning—when the air is crisp, the kitchen is warm, and something delicious is always simmering or baking. Skagit River Ranch’s Italian sausage and farm-fresh eggs set the stage for a hearty brunch, while creamy Bellsong buttermilk, stone-ground cornmeal, and grey sea salt butter add rustic charm to the table. Gruyère cheese bread and a maple pumpkin loaf invite lingering over coffee, and a drizzle of Bella Luna honey brings a golden touch of sweetness to the season’s fruits and greens. Rounded out with a bounty of autumn produce, it’s a box designed for slow, satisfying mornings and the simple pleasure of gathering at home.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box this week:

Skagit River Ranch Italian Sausage
The pampered pigs raised on the Skagit River Ranch in Sedro-Woolley roam outdoors in certified-organic pasture land to root, dig, and cavort as only happy pigs can, thriving on a diet of flax seed, corn and wheat. This delectable Italian-style pork sausage is spiced with savory herbs, adding a flavorful, savory note to your favorite recipes.

Gruyère Cheese Bread
Made in nearby Snohomish by our favorite bakery, this freshly-baked loaf balances sweet, nutty Gruyère with a light, crisp crust. Absolutely wonderful re-warmed in the oven—just sprinkle with a few drops of water and bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.

Maple Pumpkin Loaf
Freshly baked and beautifully fragrant, this moist, spiced loaf blends earthy pumpkin with the rich sweetness of maple syrup. Perfect alongside your morning coffee or lightly toasted with a pat of butter for an afternoon treat.

Nashi Starkcrimson Pear Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Perry
Made with organically grown Starkrimson pears, this non-alcoholic sparkling perry from Vashon Island-based Nashi Orchards is rich with a light sparkle and beautiful color. Enjoy on its own or in your favorite mocktail or cocktail.

Fresh Bellsong Buttermilk & Grey Sea Salt Butter
Beautifully-thick, tangy and creamy buttermilk made by our in-house creamery, Bellsong, as well as grey salt butter. Made in small batches from Skykomish Valley cream, this European-style butter is cultured and salted with fine French grey sea salt.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Our small flock of laying hens is made up of three heritage breeds: Black Copper Maran, Ameraucana, and Delaware. As they spend plenty of time outdoors in nice weather, they are also enjoying garden trimmings to supplement their diet as they continue to give us fresh eggs in beautiful shades of brown, green, beige and cream.

Molino by De La Mesa Farms Naci Artisan Cornmeal
This stone-ground cornmeal is made from heirloom white corn (maíz blanco) and milled to a medium grind, giving it a wonderfully versatile texture perfect for creamy polenta, hearty grits, or tender cornbread. Grown and milled by De La Mesa Farms—a family-owned, 2.5-acre regenerative farm tucked into the urban heart of Tacoma—this cornmeal reflects their dedication to soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable, no-till farming methods.

Cairnspring Mills Organic Edison All-Purpose Flour
This Burlington-based company is rediscovering the heart and soul of flour-making by producing small-batch, responsibly-grown flours made solely from wheat grown in the Pacific Northwest. Ground from a hard white spring wheat, this rich, nutty and buttery flour is perfect for your baking needs and beyond.

Bella Luna Wildflower Honey
Golden wildflower honey from the apiary here at Bella Luna Farms.

Seasonal Organic Greens
This week’s beautiful selection of greens includes mixed radicchio.

Fresh Organic Fruit & Vegetables
This week’s produce selection also includes a harvest bounty of Huckleberry Gold potatoes, Delicata squash, red beets, yellow onions, carrots and celery, plus freshly-picked Comice pears and Spartan apples from the orchard.

Garden-Grown Herbs
Fresh garlic, and a fragrant bundle of mixed herbs from the walled garden here at Bella Luna.
